A fresh voice for vision

A redesigned VSP blog went live this past week with an intro by Liz B and a first blog entry by Vernon D. Liz is the group blog editor and Vernon is one of several guest bloggers from VSP.

All past blog entries from Rob Lynch are still there of course, but going forward, you can expect fresh, timely, relevant blog entries about eyecare and eye health, vision trends and news, the company and its people, and more.

The WordPress theme displays a three-column page design that is already packed with content.

  • In the left panel, you’ll see recent posts, archives, the comments policy, and a tag cloud.
  • In the center panel, blog entries “behave” as blog entries should, with author bios, expected reverse chronological flow, and comment links. Bloggers can now tag blog entries, for easier recall and filtering. add-icons Each article includes icons so you, the audience can quickly add to Facebook, Digg, Del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Blinklist, Twitter, Technorati, Furl, and Newsvine.
  • In the right panel, you’ll see links to photos, Twitter feeds from SeeLia and SeeZar (VSP’s mobile clinics in the community) and Eye Healthcare. At the bottom, the blogroll’s first entry is a link to VSP Active, the sister blog where at this moment you can follow pro cycling’s Team Type 1 incredible record-breaking Ride Across America. (Go TT1!)

I’ve met the guest bloggers, who represent a cross-section of the VSP Global Family of Companies and its various divisions and departments. You can expect a diversity, freshness, relevance, and voice of VSP that you’ve not yet seen or heard in the past blog.
